EFCC Arraigns 2 FCDA Staff Over Alleged Sale Of 4 FCT Staff Houses

The EFCC has arraigned two staff of the Federal Capital Development Authority, Folashade Oketope and Mohammed Kabir Usman, for alleged illegal sale of four FCT staff houses.

The duo were docked Monday before Justice B.M. Bassi of the FCT High Court, Jabi, on a three-count charge of conspiracy, criminal breach of trust and corruption. According to the EFCC, they sold Houses 3, 4, 7 and 8 on Plot 756, Abubakar Usman Crescent, Jabi, between 2024 and 2025, and corruptly received N5m and N4m respectively from one Anthony Ezekwugo to facilitate the deal.

Both pleaded not guilty.

Justice Bassi granted each bail at N10m with one reliable surety resident in the FCT who must own landed property, depose affidavit of means and submit passport photos. Oketope was remanded in Suleja Correctional Centre and Usman in Kuje pending bail perfection. Trial begins October 21.
