Governor Sim Fubara has stated that although he appreciates the support and political role played by former Rivers governor Nyesom Wike, he can never worship any human being.
Fubara said only God deserves worship, stressing that human beings are merely instruments used by God to help others fulfill destiny. He added that God can even use one’s enemy to open doors and change situations.
The Rivers governor maintained that appreciating a leader should not be mistaken for absolute loyalty or submission, insisting that nobody can take the place of God.
“If that is my sin, let me answer it,” Fubara declared.
