Oba Salman Aweda, traditional ruler of Olayinka in Ifelodun LGA of Kwara State, has died in captivity after his abductors collected a N21 million ransom, two new motorcycles, and a jerrycan of petrol.The monarch was kidnapped about a month ago by suspected kidnappers who later negotiated with community representatives.
“The traditional ruler of Olayinka in Ifelodun Local Government Area was killed by his abductors despite the ransom payment made by the community,” a source said.A victim recently freed by kidnappers in Sagbe, Kwara State, also confirmed that the Olayinka monarch had already died while in captivity
