Nigerian Equities Market closed negative as the key market indicator declined by 234.60bps amid positive market breadth
The NGX All-Share Index declined by 0.52% to close at 44,625.18 basis points as against 0.16% gain recorded previously to close at 44,859.78 basis points at the end of the last trading session. In Naira terms, the NGX Market CAP records N127.78bn loss.

The total volume traded advanced by 61.44% to close at 150.97m, valued at N1.55bn and traded in 2,998 deals. MBENEFIT was the most traded stock by volume with 47.85m units traded while AIRTELAFRI was also the most traded stock by value which is put at N573.53m
Sectoral performance was broadly positive as eight (8) NGX sector index closed northward, five (5) closed southward while five (5) closed flat. The NGXMERIVAL index advanced by 1.15% to top the gainers chart while the NGC MAIN BOARD Index dipped by 1.09% to top the losers’ chart.
Gote index closed flat at 127.90 basis points and the Toni index declined by 0.02% to close at 106.30 basis points.
At the close of trading, market recorded 11 gainers to 9 losers and 78 unchanged. REGALINS topped the list of gainers while PHARMDEKO topped the list of losers.
Thus, market breadth closed positive as the Market Breadth Index (MBI) is put at 0.03x.
