President Bola Tinubu’s administration has been marked by several significant solar achievements in the past two years. Despite facing criticism, his policies have yielded notable results across various sectors.
Nigeria recorded a trade surplus of over N18 trillion under Tinubu’s administration. The country achieved a GDP growth rate of 3.4% in 2024, the second-highest in the last 10 years. Tinubu’s administration successfully reduced Nigeria’s budget deficits from 50% in 2023 to about 23% in 2025.
The administration has also made significant strides in infrastructure development, including the construction of over 70 federal highways simultaneously, such as the Sokoto-Badagry superhighway. Additionally, 8,000 new primary health centers are being built across 774 local government areas to improve healthcare services. Tinubu’s administration added over 1,500MW of electricity to the national grid within two years.
In the education and healthcare sectors, poor university students received funds to pay for their fees, alleviating the burden on their parents. Eight new medical universities were approved to train more doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals. Over N250 billion was released to states to revamp primary healthcare centers.
Other notable initiatives include the development of agro-processing zones across different states to promote agricultural industrialization, electrification of rural areas targeting 1 million rural homes, and installation of solar power in federal universities, with 22 universities already connected.
Overall, President Tinubu’s administration has made significant progress in various areas, including economic reforms, infrastructure development, education, and healthcare. While challenges persist, the administration’s efforts have shown promising results, and Nigerians can look forward to continued growth and development.
