.Mrs Oluwabukola Gbolahan Adesina, wife of Olaniyi Ife Adesina rescued by a team of military men from some kidnappers ,has raised an alarm over incessant threats to her life from some hoodlums after her husband harrow escape from death

She said this happened because of her husband failure to pay them a sum of Ninety Million Naira ,being the amount demanded as a retribution over the death of three bike riders .

“They kidnapped my daughter,killed my husband cousin, because he failed to pay N30m each for three people demanded as ransom”, She declared in an interview last week.

Her husband, Mr Gbolahan Adesina was a strong and influential owner of commercial motorbikes in Ekiti State ,Nigeria as well as a representative of motorbike riders in the Odua People Congress, OPC and Bike Riders Association in the state until the death of three bike riders in a crisis that broke out between the riders and OPC members .
Sequel to the death of the bike riders , other members of the commercial bike riders demanded a payment of N30m each for each of those that died from Adesina. They also accused of sellout with the OPC members .
However, despite Adesina explanations to the contrary and insistence that he had no such money , the hoodlums continued to launch multiple attacks on her and her family members .

The incident was in connection to the failure of her husband to pay a sum of N90m demanded by bike riders .

After several unsuccessful attempts to reach her parents, the victim’s mother, Oluwabukola Gbolahan Adesina, was able to grant an interview in which she shared her profound sadness.

She explained that since a tragic event occurred a few months prior, she said she had been the sole caretaker for her children. Tearfully, she recounted how her husband had been forced to flee for his life after a violent clash on January 9th 2025, between a group known as OPC and bike riders in the Atikankan area of Ado-Ekiti. This clash heightened tensions in the neighbourhood and resulted in the deaths of three individuals.

Mrs Adesina claimed that due to her husband’s position in the bike owners’ association, he had received threats, with accusations linking him to the deaths of three individuals who were riding his bikes and demanding retribution against him. Struggling to cope with these challenges, She also mentioned that she had lost contact with her husband after he survived a kidnapping that occurred while he was attending a church program in Ejule, Kogi State. He was rescued by the Nigerian Army and a community vigilante group. Likewise, she shared that one of her husband’s cousins, who was staying with them, was tragically set ablaze in their home at No. 2 Bayode Ayeni Street in Ado-Ekiti on January 25 She explained that the cousin was left at home while the family attended a vigil, and upon returning, they found him severely burned, suspected to be the victim of an attack by hoodlums who invaded their house early that day. This incident compelled the family to relocate to Akure, where they currently stay with her parent with the children because they are scared and cannot stay in their vandalised house.

As Mrs. Adesina recounted these painful events, she sobbed uncontrollably, expressing the numerous ordeals her family had faced. Mrs Adesina anguish was palpable as she disclosed that her family has endured multiple death threats over the past few months
