The Nigeria Police Force who has earlier sometimes in 2022 declared BELLO SIKIRU wanted over offence of homosexual has not given up in their quest to get him arrested.
According to police spokeman the offence is punishable under Nigeria’s anti-gay law, enacted in January 2014 stipulates a 14-year prison term for anyone convicted of having sex with members of the same sex.
He further explained that a warrant of arrest that was issued by a Magistrate Court in Ibadan, Oyo state still subsist and as he was caught in the act with his partner while Bello fled and moreover his
partner was arrested and has been prosecuted and jail according to Nigeria law on homosexual.
He said despite their invitations and that he was last seen in Ibadan Oyo state, where he was invited, he refused to show up.
Nigeria police force has strongly again appeal to the general public that if seen, he should be arrested and hand over to the nearest police station.
