The Nigeria Police Force has declared ONAH EMMANUEL IKECHUKWU wanted over offence of homosexual.
In accordance with Nigeria’s anti-gay law, enacted in January 2014 stipulates a 14-year prison term for anyone convicted of having sex with members of the same sex.
A warrant of arrest has been issued by a Magistrate Court in Yenagoa Bayesa state .
On 25th November 2023, he was caught in the act with one Samuel opere who was arrested while Onah fled.
He was born on 23/08/1986 in Awka
He was initially been arrested by the vigilantes group in his village Obollo Afor, Udenu Local government area Enugu state, where he was living, when they discovered he was homosexual and the authorities of udenu local government area Enugu state has promised to deal with him possibly to kill as they said homosexual is against the norms, custom and culture of their village even is a taboo to the people of Obollo Afor and is even against the Nigeria law. He was later banished from the Obollo afor village.
Onah partner who was caught with him in the act has been arrested by the police and he has been prosecuted and jail according to Nigeria law on homosexual.
He was last (Onah Emmanuel ikechukwu) seen in Abuja, Nigeria.
Nigeria police force has appeal to general public that if seen, he should be arrested and hand over to the nearest police station.
