Ogun State, once proudly dubbed the “Gateway State” for its strategic position and economic potential, has morphed into a gateway to despair under the watch of Governor Dapo Abiodun. On this grim Friday, November 7, 2025, the deplorable state of our roads stands as a testament to the most clueless administration this state has ever endured. From the pothole-riddled streets of Ota to the crumbling underbridges of Sango, the people of Ogun State are left to navigate a nightmare of neglect, while Abiodun dances at owambes and poses for photo ops, propped up by his data boys and their hollow propaganda.
The evidence is clear in the relentless advocacy of concerned citizens like @tundeskie, an HR professional turned watchdog, whose posts on X have become a clarion call for accountability. In a scathing thread on November 7, 2025, @tundeskie vowed to make it his mission to hold Abiodun’s administration accountable, building on an earlier demand for a transparent roadmap to fix the state’s roads. His frustration echoes the cries of residents in Ado-Odo/Ota, where inner routes remain worse than federal roads, and Ijoko to Agbado, where dualized roads choke into abandoned half-measures without drainage or walkways. @tundeskie’s words sting with truth: after six years, where is the roadmap? Where is the progress?

Since 2019, he claims to have rehabilitated over 1,200 km of roads, yet the evidence on the ground, potholes in Ayetoro, accidents on Abeokuta-Lagos Expressway, and abandoned projects like Abule Lemode to Agbado, belies this narrative. His data boys, minions of misinformation, flood social media with propaganda, spinning tales of progress while residents dodge craters and mourn lost lives. This is not governance; it is a circus. The people of Ogun State deserve better than a governor more interested in photo ops than pothole repairs. While Abiodun attends owambes, sipping champagne with elites, our youths navigate death traps daily. @tundeskie’s call for accountability is a rallying cry: publish the roadmap, establish oversight for local government funds, and open feedback channels. Instead, we get silence and spin.

The enlightened, observant, and resolute people of Ogun State will no longer be pacified by propaganda. We demand good governance, not grandstanding.
