No Respite Yet for Union Bank Plc


Union Bank of Nigeria Plc has released its Q2 2021 Unaudited results for the period ended June 30th, 2021 with major performance indicators in negative .

Gross Earnings declined by -7% to N76bn from N82bn in the previous quarter while Profit before tax declined by 11% to N10bn and Profit after tax declined by 11% to N9.8bn. Even its Net Assets declined by -2.3% from N264bn to N258bn. Its Share Price   stood  at N5:20k as at the time the results were released Tuesday, Aug 4, 2020● UBN: 5.40  

. UBN closed its last trading day (Monday, August 2, 2021) at 5.25 NGN per share on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NGX), recording a 0.9% drop from its previous closing price of 5.30 NGN. Union began the year with a share price of 5.35 NGN but has since lost 1.87% off that price valuation, ranking it 108th on the NGX in terms of year-to-date performance. Shareholders’ worries are compounded by the fact that UBN has lost 6% of the stock’s value from July 1st to date.
