No Respite Yet For FBN Holdings

As Remi Babalola Resigns as Chairman

No respite yet for FBN Holdings Plc  as Remi Babalola, resigned yesterday  as the chairman of the  Board of Directors  set up by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Investigations reveal that this was not unrelated to his concerns over the corporate governance of the legacy institution under the regulatory structure; and the recent developments around ownership and shareholding and its handling.

This development has prompted some analysts to raise alarm  and   has become  the tipping point to concerns that had festered over issues related to decision-making and the “mission creep” that emerged after the takeover .
