Investors Gained N94.95bn as NGXASI Advanced by 0.17%; BDC Rate Depreciated to N1,488/USD

1. EQUITIES MARKET 

1.1 NGX – Listed Equities

The domestic market recouped parts of its three-session decline on renewed buying interests in FBNH (+2.99%), ZENITH (+1.42%), FLOURMILL (+1.18%), DANGSUGAR (+1.18%), GTCO  (+0.92%), NB (+0.87%), UCAP (+0.46%), and 28 others. 

As such, the All-Share Index (NGXASI) rose 0.17% to 99,385.44 points, up from 0.09% at 99,217.60 points at the close of the market on Tuesday. This gain increased investors’ wealth by N94.95bn as Market Capitalisation closed at N56.22trn, and year-to-date return stood at 32.91%.  

The total volume traded declined by 23.57% to close at 276.36m, valued at N4.12bn and traded in 7,597 deals. ACCESSCORP was the most traded stock by volume and value, with 45.34m units traded at N859.40m.

The Gote index advanced by 0.05% to close at 344.36 points, the Toni index declined by 0.05% to close at 1,265.14 points, while the Samad Index remained flat at 364.34 points. 

As the market breadth index (MBI) measured, investors’ sentiment closed positively at 0.30x with 35 gainers against 13 losers, while 74 equities were unchanged. CWG topped the gainers’ list, while NSLTECH topped the losers’ list.  

Volume and Value Contribution

ACCESSCORP was the most traded in volume, contributing 16.40%, while AIICO and GTCO followed behind.  

The value chart shows that ACCESSCORP contributed the most, with a 20.86% share. GTCO and MTNN followed closely behind.
