Nigerian Equities Market closed positive as the key market indicator advanced by 151.31 bps amid positive market breadth.
The NGX All-Share Index advanced by 0.29% to close at 52,752.96 basis points as against a 0.02% loss recorded previously to close at 52,599.65 basis points at the end of the last trading session. In Naira terms, the NGX Market CAP records a N83.51bn gain.
YTD, the NGXASI Stands at +2.93%
The total volume traded advanced by 16.55% to close at N139.68m, valued at N2.02bn and traded in 3,549 deals. GTCO was the most traded stock by volume with 17.79m units traded while GTCO was also the most traded stock by value which is put at N433.17m
Sectoral performance was broadly positive as fourteen (14) NGX sector index closed northward, two (2) sector index closed southward and two (2) closed flat. The NGX MERIVAL index advanced by 1.87% to top the gainer’s chart while the NGX LII index declined by 0.02% to top the losers’ chart.
The Gote index declined by 0.02% to close at 139.42 basis points while the Toni index advanced by 0.64% to close at 122.02 basis points.
At the close of trading, the market recorded 25 gainers to 7 losers and 65 unchanged. GEREGU topped the list of gainers while RTBRISCOE topped the list of losers.
Thus, market breadth closed flat as the Market Breadth Index (MBI) is put at 3.61x.
