• G-20 Summit: Dangote, Elumelu, Otedola, Rabiu, Ovia to Attend Nigeria-India Presidential Roundtable

Business leaders Alhaji Aliko Dangote, GCON, President, Dangote Industries Limited, Mr. Tony Elumelu, CFR, Chairman, Heirs Holdings; Mr Femi Otedola, Chairman, Geregu Power Plc, Dr. Abdulsamad Rabiu, Chairman, BUA Group and Mr. Jim Ovia, CFR, Chairman, Zenith Bank Plc are amongst leading Nigerian private sector players that will attend the Nigeria-India Presidential Roundtable, on the sidelines of the 2023 G-20 summit.

The event slated for Wednesday, September 6th, 2023, in New Delhi, is being organized by the Nigeria-India Business Council and will have in attendance President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR and leading Indian Business leaders.

This will be a significant event for Nigeria to explore strategic partnerships and the deepening of trade relations with India, geared towards boosting investment inflows into the country. Critical sectors are oil and gas, information and communication technology, manufacturing, power & energy, agriculture, and mining.

Mr. Wale Edun, Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Dr. Doris Anite-Uzoka, Minister of Industries, Trade and Investments, Mr. Bosun Tijani, Minister of Communications and Digital Economy and Amb. Yusuf Tuggar, Minister of Foreign Affairs, will also participate in the roundtable.

The Nigeria India Business Council, NIBC, has the mission statement of acting as a single interface determined to help investors aiming to invest in Nigeria and become a strong pillar for them to facilitate mutual growth.

According to the Indian High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mr Shri Balasubramanian, the trade volume between Nigeria and India for 2022 was $14.95bn.
